We pull our weeds by HAND!
This article in the NYT talks about the threat of Round-up resistant weeds that have been cropping up throughout the US since 2000. “It is the single largest threat to production agriculture that we have ever seen,” said Andrew Wargo III, the president of the Arkansas Association of Conservation Districts. All the more reason to grow our own organic veggies!

ReplyDeletethis is a fantastic tidbit for all of us to ponder. It really isn't always easy to do the physical actions required to get rid of weeds one by one by hand w/o using chemicals. But the benefits are many. We should all look to this article for inspiration this season as the weeds are sure to be daunting, as always. But we can overcome! Especially if we work together!
